Eddie V's is a upscale seafood and steak restaurant with locations in several major markets. The Houston location includes a private dining room that works well for small corporate groups. The room runs long and narrow, with a white-linen table set for roughly a dozen guests, blue and gray patterned upholstered chairs, curtained walls and a linear crystal chandelier overhead. A flat-panel television is already mounted at the far end of the room, flanked by two wall sconces and framed by dark wallcovering. The overall tone is formal without being stiff. For a pharma industry client hosting a meet and greet, the room already communicated the right level of professionalism.

What we brought in

The setup centered on a projector and screen, giving the client a presentation surface scaled to the room and the group. The existing chandelier provided plenty of ambient light for the dining portion of the evening. Glassware, place settings and water service were already on the table when we arrived, so we worked around the venue's setup rather than competing with it. Every seat along both sides of the table had a usable sightline to the screen.

Planning notes for this room

If you are booking this room for a small corporate event, confirm the room dimensions and ceiling height before committing to a projector-and-screen configuration versus a flat-panel option. The long table format works well for meet-and-greet events where guests are seated and a presenter works from one end. Build in time for the venue's own setup crew to finish before your AV team needs access. Coordinating those two timelines is the most common pressure point in private dining AV.
