A multi-zone trade show booth is a different job than a single-screen setup. When a booth has a main innovations pillar, a café counter station, and separate product display areas, each screen is doing its own work. Getting that right starts well before load-in.

At Music City Center, we installed wall-mounted and pillar-mounted large-format displays across several zones of a healthcare exhibitor's booth. One display anchored the innovations section on a tall center pillar. Another sat above the café cabinet area. Additional screens covered the product side of the booth. The floor was light wood laminate over the concrete, the booth structure was already framed, and we worked our runs to keep everything clean and accessible.

What to have ready before the crew arrives

For a booth like this, a few things matter more than anything else:

  • A booth drawing with screen locations marked. Know where every display goes before load-in. Booth structures can make last-minute changes difficult once other vendors have worked around them.
  • Source assignments per screen. Which screen plays the product loop, which plays the brand reel, which is live or interactive. If every screen is running the same content, say so. If they are running different content, say that too.
  • Cable access points. Large booth structures sometimes bury the paths you need. Coordinate with your booth builder so we know where power and signal access live before we are standing in front of them.
  • Show services contact. Music City Center has its own building rules for rigging, power drops and floor work. Have your show services order confirmed and a contact name ready for the crew.

On the day

Build in time after setup to walk every screen with someone from the exhibiting team. Check the content on each display, check brightness for the hall lighting, and confirm that any interactive or touch elements are working before the floor opens. A display that looks fine in a dark back room can wash out under convention hall fluorescents.

Multi-zone booth AV is straightforward when the planning is done early. The screens in this booth looked clean because the structure was ready and the assignments were clear.
